The routes on the valley floor link towns, villages and their outlying districts together
A summer holiday in the Val di Fassa does not mean you have to imitate the enterprising climbs of Messner or scale the most impervious peaks; there is a wide choice of different hikes covering every level of difficulty. In fact there are many simple routes without any particular slope or exposure and which, in certain cases, include completely flat sections. This does not mean that these walks are less charming; on the contrary, many show us scenery that is just as beautiful as that offered by much more complicated routes. The routes described here show just some of the many opportunities for hiking, all starting out from main towns to pass through districts or places of certain interest. Click on the corresponding map to get an idea of the route and its length. Since these are walks, the journey times are usually brief and they are not difficult, so they are within everyone’s capabilities. At this point, we must also mention the training routes: these are routes equipped with light sporting equipment and often take you through the most scenic points of the valley, where you will be surrounded by nature. And for the smallest among you? There are playgrounds: imaginatively equipped areas where families and their children can enjoy themselves in the sunshine or in the shade of larches and fir trees.
