Do you prefer sporting activities or does your ideal holiday mean total relaxation ?
If you are athletic, sporty, or just want to stay fit, there is no lack of open-air activities during the summer here in the Val di Fassa. Apart from the classical hikes, which are described in detail in the relevant sections, the sporting activities available in the valley are in any case linked to the mountains and surrounding area. They range from more or less extreme sports, such as hang-gliding, trail running, free climbing and mountain biking, to less difficult ones such as golf, tennis, horse riding, angling, ice-skating and cycling. Many sporting events, in which you can participate or just watch, are organised throughout the summer and these include the Dolomiti Skyrace, the Rampilonga, the Traslaval and many more. You will find much more information and details on this subject on our Dolomiti Sport web site.
If you are more inclined towards total rest and relaxation, you will have the chance to rest, re-oxygenate yourself and at the same time, enjoy the unique scenery among the meadows of Ciampedie or on the panoramic terrace of Pordoi, where sun-loungers await you. If you are looking for something more, like a state-of-the-art wellness and health centre with sauna, Turkish bath, massages, swimming pool, solarium and beauty therapist, you will most certainly find what you are looking for in the many such centres in the valley.
It’s up to you: sport or relaxation. Of course, you can always do both: there is nothing more relaxing than a massage, perhaps with a Finnish-style sauna, after a day’s sport.
