Fishing is managed
by the Associazione Pescatori Val di Fassa and is
possible in the River Avisio (along the whole section
belonging to the Val di Fassa), in the Fedaia basin,
Lake Pozze (S. Pellegrino Pass) and in the Pezzè
basin (Soraga). The maximum catch allowed is six
trout.
For the River Avisio the season begins on 1 April;
for lakes, it is set for after the thaw and in any
case, not before 10 March. The season ends on 30
September for all bodies of water.
Fishing permits, which cost 10.50 euros, can be
bought in shops or bars in every village in the
valley and they list detailed rules and regulations
for fishing. For a permit (valid for one day only),
it is necessary to hold a governmental licence.
