| The
Word for Summer is: Hiking !
There are more than 300
km of marked routes in the Val di Fassa for hikes
you won’t forget
There is a really
vast choice of hikes in the Val di Fassa and each
route has its own difficulties and its own unique,
unrepeatable, and always spectacular scenery.
The
first choice, therefore, should involve the difficulty
of the hike. Hikes are mostly divided into three
categories: walks, easy hikes and difficult hikes.
We have added a separate section for walks,
which usually take place at the bottom of the valley.
Difficult and easy hikes are essentially distinguished
by the problems each route presents and the presence
of exposed points, via ferratas, etc. While easy
hikes are more or less within everyone’s capabilities,
difficult ones require physical preparation, a minimum
of experience, knowledge of the area and, in the
case of via ferratas, harnesses, helmets, ropes,
etc. are obligatory. In any case, even easy hikes
may turn out to be difficult for many people. The
first rule to follow is that of getting information
beforehand; always study your intended route with
care and make sure you have suitable equipment.
Follow the ten rules listed in the Guide
to Safe Hiking. The following section describes
some of the classical routes in the Val di Fassa.
